When Pink Ribbon Bingo first launched in 1997, it was then the world’s first UK online bingo site created to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
Over the years, our players and the team behind Pink Ribbon Bingo have raised many thousands of pounds for our partner charity Against Breast Cancer. We also help reduce the running costs of Against Breast cancer by sponsoring their website to digitally reach more people.
The best part of Pink Ribbon Bingo is that the bingo site’s profit generates the charity money. That and special fundraising events that our players fully embrace are a huge contributor to the fight against breast cancer.
Players can enjoy their games and win as they could do on any other bingo site. However, here at Pink Ribbon Bingo, they also support the fight against breast cancer.
In 1993, Dr Anthony Leathem and his wife Patricia founded the charity to find a vaccine against breast cancer.
Today, Against Breast Cancer funds pioneering research into new treatments, earlier diagnosis tools, and advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread. Working with expert scientists, the charity wants to increase all breast cancer patients’ survival rates and ultimately discover a vaccine against breast cancer.
In April 2019, we announced that Pink Ribbon Bingo is the headline sponsor for the annual Against Breast Cancer Achievement Awards which take place in October at the Hilton Hotel in Reading.
The Against Breast Cancer Achievement Awards recognise individuals and groups who play key roles within our communities. These dedicated people provide vital services or support to others, either in the home, community or workplace.
We’re very proud to be involved in these awards putting the spotlight on people who truly make a difference to many people’s lives.
The Pink Ribbon Bingo players and players from our sister sites BidBingo, Bingo Ireland, LoveHearts Bingo and Loadsa Bingo, have fully embraced our Bingo Fundraiser Events. We aim to organise three to four events each year.
